Our Projects
S.S.C. - School Supply Closet
The School Supply Closet (S.S.C.) is a cornerstone initiative of the Bridge Builders Program, dedicated to equipping students with the tools they need to succeed in the classroom. From kindergarten through 12th grade, we provide essential school supplies to ensure no child faces barriers to learning due to lack of resources.
Our team works closely with local schools and community organizations to identify areas of greatest need and distribute supplies efficiently. From backpacks filled with notebooks and pencils to calculators and art supplies, the S.S.C. aims to support students’ diverse educational journeys. By removing the burden of acquiring school supplies from families already facing financial challenges, we empower students to focus on their education and build brighter futures.
Each year, the S.S.C. helps hundreds of students start their school year with confidence and dignity. The program is sustained by the generosity of community donors, dedicated volunteers, and partnerships with local businesses. Together, we are shaping a community where every child has the tools to thrive academically and beyond.
H.T.C. - Hospital Toiletry Closet
The Hospital Toiletry Closet (H.T.C.) provides critical hygiene items to individuals in need during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. Designed to assist patients upon discharge, this initiative ensures that everyone has access to basic necessities such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and other essential toiletries.
Hospital stays can often be unexpected, leaving patients and their families unprepared for the immediate needs that arise afterward. The H.T.C. addresses this gap by offering support and comfort to individuals transitioning back to their homes or temporary shelters. By providing these items, we help patients maintain their dignity and well-being during a challenging time.
This project is fueled by compassionate volunteers and contributions from the community. Through partnerships with local healthcare providers and organizations, the H.T.C. continues to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.
F.A.T. - Thanksgiving Fixings & Turkey Giveaway
The Thanksgiving Fixings & Turkey Giveaway (F.A.T.) embodies the spirit of gratitude and generosity that defines the Bridge Builders Program. Every year, we provide families with all the ingredients needed to prepare a memorable holiday meal, ensuring no family misses out on the joy of Thanksgiving.
Each family receives a turkey and an assortment of traditional fixings, including stuffing, vegetables, and dessert items. For many, this event is about more than food; it’s about bringing the community together to celebrate the holiday season with hope and connection. Volunteers work tirelessly to organize, package, and distribute the meals, creating an experience that uplifts everyone involved.
By addressing food insecurity during the holiday season, the F.A.T. Giveaway helps alleviate stress for families and enables them to focus on spending time with loved ones. It’s an annual tradition that fosters a sense of unity and generosity within our community.
